There was big hype around Mr. Magic and Red Alert's shows, but I personally always looked forward to Jazzy Jay filling in.
He was that DJ who consistantly broke new records everytime he was on. This is where I first heard 'Crush'.plus joints like Endgames 'Ecstasy', Fearless Four 'F-4000', and 'Would You Like To Fool Around' from Mtume. Those were some magical moments cause the only time we got Hip Hop like that on radio was on the weekends. Went through a huge collection on the weekend, majority were dirt cheap.heres a few of the standouts. Hm, no love for Fu-Schnickens, huh? I'm a big fan.
Maybe not of their LP, but I loved the singles. Especially La Schmoove and True Fu-Schnick, but also to a lesser extent What's Up Doc? And Ring The Alarm.
But I noticed noone is talking about them these days. Still, that's quite good cause I can pick their stuff up for cheap:D I payed the equivalent of about €4 for this one. I know everyone doesn't love Fu-Schnickens like I do, but comparing them to Vanilla Ice?
